LED Saxophone Visual Effects

In one of our previous posts we started talking about the possibilities of visually upgrading saxophones.
Some of you may like it, others will always prefer it just the way it is. Or may even consider LED’s looking cheap.
We’re not here to judge, just to show 4 examples how an LED saxophone can look like:

Saxophone with LEDStandard LED Saxophone

Most common: Just put a few LED stripes from the outside and you’re good to go. You can buy these stripes including batterie pack for a couple bugs online. Ebay, Amazon or wherever. With only a few minutes of work and very low expenses you’ll be able to have your LED saxophone shining bright and ready for some club action. You may wanna ask the light jockey to not have the location fully luminated to stand out yourself much more against a darker background.

More LED's on the SaxophoneHeavy illumination

In case you’re down to put a little more affort & money into you shiny project this set up may catch your attention. Vertically installed LED stripes look super awesome when being shaked in the club. Especially on photographs with an extended exposure time. Your event manager will thank you for this!
Gotta say I’m not sure if such contruction will affect you while playling. Any reporting on this would be helpful!

More decentLED lines on Saxophone

A pretty cool alternative to usual LED Stripes are LED Lines.
Not this bright but quite decent and classy. By the way, its random that all LED Saxophone examples appear with blue lights. You can get them in any colour or even pulsating, colour-changing and in many more modes.

Glowing LED SaxophoneGlow from the inside

This one looks unreal on the first view. But its true, you can make a sax glow from the inside. You just need a Saxophone made of polycarbonate. Vibratosax from Bangkok is one brand constructing those. To be honest, don’t expect too much from it, it’s still made out of plastic. However its not completely useless, just lacks a bit in brilliance what makes it harder to cut through the loud club sound. And the intonation is real heavy so make sure to practise a lot before playing in public.

In the end its your choice if you want to make your sax shine neon or stay classy with its natural golden shine.
